Have you met Brian Johnstone?
… Oh, you’d remember if you had.
The Nehalem Bay area’s resident Scotsman cuts a striking figure both literally – check out that shock of inspired, white hair – and figuratively.
We know, we know, the term “renaissance man” is overused, and frankly generally misused. But even those of us who cringe at such general hyperbole can’t help but think of the expression when we think of Brian.
The man is a world-class architect, potter, musician and cook. And that’s to say nothing of his stories, a goodly number of which center on his many global travels.
He also happens to own and operate Nehalem Clayworks, which is housed in a studio on North Fork Road in Nehalem, Ore.
Rocky Intertidal CoCreative is proud to have helped him, and his wife and graphic artist Kate Johnstone, launch the first website showcasing the spectrum of Brian’s art.
Now that he has a platform to do so, Brian will begin blogging on his new website. … Check back often for a glimpse into a creative mind that defies – in fact, and happily for us, can’t bloody well abide – the ordinary.
